Childbirth Education

March 24th, 2021 | 5PM-7PM

Bailey Padilla, Certified Nurse Midwife, and Liz Gonzalez, Family Birthplace RN are hosting Childbirth Education classes. Expectant mothers and their partners are encouraged to attend!

Classes & Programs

Topics that will be covered include: labor, delivery, and postpartum care. Call the Prosser Women's Health Center at 509.786.0031 or Family Birthplace at 509.786.6677 to RSVP.

Our goal is to put you in charge of your birth experience. Childbirth classes help put you at ease as you plan for your new arrival, and are a great way to connect with other new parents. Classes are taught by PMH registered nurse staff members and include:​

  • Prenatal care

  • Pain management

  • Stages of labor

  • Packing a labor bag

  • What to expect after delivery

  • How to care for your newborn

  • Breastfeeding techniques

  • Car seat safety

  • Milestones of your baby's first year

  • Family Birthplace tour

Course Logistics

Classes are available in English and Spanish.
