BOTOX® is a prescribed medication injected into muscles to treat a variety of medical and cosmetic issues. Most commonly, it is used cosmetically to temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes and forehead. BOTOX® may also be used to treat other conditions, such as migraines, muscle stiffness, and excessive sweating.
JUVÉDERM® offers a collection of injectable dermal fillers used for the cosmetic correction and enhancement of facial appearance. The hyaluronic acid is injected at different points of the face to reduce wrinkles, undereye bags, and lip augmentation. Dermatology Center offers JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC, JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC, JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® XC, and JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC.
VBeam is a laser light treatment that targets blood vessels. It is used to treat broken blood vessels, redness from Rosacea, red birthmarks, and other red skin lesions. It can also be used for spot treatment of brown age spots. By delivering quick pulses of laser energy on the problem area, targeted cells are able to collapse and disappear through the laser heat. The VBeam is a quick, relatively painless treatment with results seen after just a few treatments.
IPL is a non-surgical light treatment that targets brown and some red. It reduces brown spots and redness of the skin, and can improve skin texture. It uses light energy to heat up the skin to get rid of unwanted brown and red spots. It can be done on various areas of the body including the face, chest and hands.
Laser hair removal uses a concentrated beam of light to remove unwanted hair on the body. This procedure targets the hair follicle, removing the hair and inhibiting regrowth. Results can last from several months to a few years; maintenance is required for long term hair reduction.
This is a fractionated resurfacing laser treatment that removes a portion of the top layers of the skin, revealing the fresh and glowing skin underneath. It reduces skin imperfections and stimulates new collagen growth promoting a more youthful appearance. It is used to treat wrinkles and fine lines, as well as acne scars. Recovery typically takes about 5-7 days and the results continue to improve over several months.
ThermiSmooth® is a painless non-invasive procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to heat up the skin and encourage the production of new collagen. It can help tighten the skin slightly, improve small wrinkles and improve acne scars. It is especially effective around the eyes to improve skin laxity and hollowness. A series of three to five monthly treatments gives best results, followed by maintenance once or twice a year.
Profound® is a new innovative deep radiofrequency treatment that stimulates new collagen and elastin production deep in the skin, in only one treatment. It helps to lift and tighten the skin on the face, and when used off the face can improve the appearance of cellulite. This is a non-surgical alternative to plastic surgery with visible results in as little as 3 months.
A chemical peel is the process of removing the top layer of skin through the application of a chemical solution. Skin is then able to grow back looking more uniform and slightly smoother. Superficial peels are used for acne and treatment of skin discoloration, while deeper peels can help improve wrinkles. Typically, a series of peels is needed for best results.
Sclerotherapy injections are the most common and effective treatment for small spider veins. In some patients laser treatment is also a good option. Both sclerotherapy and laser therapy work from the inside of the small vein to target and destroy the vein. Support hose are required for a few days after the treatment. Larger varicose veins require surgical treatment with a vascular surgeon.
KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine used to improve the appearance and profile of fat below the chin, or “double chin.” The active ingredient in KYBELLA® aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat; once destroyed, the cells can no longer store or accumulate fat. This is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction with results in as little as 2 months.
