Wound care

Wounds that don't get better with time can have a big impact on your health and quality of life. Such wounds may need specialized care to help them heal. At Prosser Memorial Health, we can offer you that care.

Our outpatient wound care center has comfortable, patient-friendly facilities. We have a team approach to wound care, including highly skilled and compassionate providers, nurses, and support staff to include dietary support for wound healing. Our entire team is dedicated to providing our community with excellent, safe and compassionate wound care. We're also known for our personal touches, such as the graduation bags we give to patients when they complete their treatment.

How we treat chronic wounds

When you come to our outpatient wound center, we'll carefully assess your wound and offer you a physician-driven treatment plan that meets your individual needs. We evaluate and treat chronic wounds, including diabetes-related foot wounds.

Treatments we offer include:

  • Wound dressing changes
  • Negative wound pressure therapy (NWPT). With NWPT, negative vacuum pressure is applied to the wound
  • Surgical debridement to remove dead tissue from a wound
  • Contact casting
  • Specialty wound dressings
